Spring course update

Best laid plans of……….

Its official, April has been the wettest in over a hundred years!! Let’s not mention the hose pipe ban!

Unfortunately the long spell of rain and the subsequently low soil temperatures has resulted in a slow down in the growth on the course.

The opening of the new green and the two new tees will now be further away than expected.

The new driving range area is also behind schedule, good old British weather!

As soon as the weather allows us to cut the course in a more managed and more frequent basis, we hope that the new cutting regime will have an impact on playing surfaces and generally enhance the course aesthetics.

Let’s hope for a warmer drier May.

Happy Golfing!!

Captain’s Charity 2012 – 2013

My choice for this years charity is the British Heart Foundation.

Heart disease is common in Britain, but through the British Heart Foundation treatment is becoming more advanced and we are all being educated to look after our heart. I see golf as the ideal sport to participate in and help to keep a healthy heart at the same time. People old and young can come together and compete and enjoy a round of golf in fantastic surroundings.

I am sure that we all know someone who has been affected by heart disease sadly some of them are not with us anymore. For me personally both my Father and Father-in-law have both suffered heart attacks.

Thankfully they both survived and they both had medical procedures that helped them regain their fitness. Without charities like the British Heart Foundation much of this research may never have been explored. With the advent of medical procedures and heart transplants now common place we have to provide more support for even more advancements and more lives to be saved.

The summer charity event will be held on the 23rd June 2012 where four person teams will pit their skill against each other. I hope to see you all there and welcome your support and ideas for the day.

I will of course be bringing back the old favorites such as the Captains pond on the 1st and 2nd hole. There will also be a men’s fine of 50 pence for failing to make the ladies tee. Ladies not to leave you out there will be a 50 pence fine for hitting the ball into a ditch less than 50 yards in front of you (you know where they are!)

I am looking forward to this year as your Captain at Woodbridge Park Golf Club so happy golfing and let us enjoy it as a successful club.

The GPS Charger Adaptor

The GPS Charger Adaptor

With the emerging market of the Mobile phone apps it has become apparent that many golfers would like to use their GPS apps via their phones on the golf course. Unfortunately this activity drains the battery.

How many times have you managed to use your GPS Device or the GPS Golf App you bought for your smartphone for the entire round…not many right!

Maybe you forgot to charge it before you came out to play, or left it in your golf bag after your last game

The GPS Charger Adaptor solves the battery power issues.

We are delighted to introduce a GPS and Mobile Phone adaptor that enables you to charge your GPS or Smart Phone while you are playing golf.  The GPS Charger Adaptor was developed by the team at LSL Logistics Ltd who have more than 30 years’ experience in the electronic industry.

It comes with full CE approval.

Research showed that over 80% of golfers’ have left their GPS Devices in their golf bag after the game and often forget to recharge it at home before the next game.

With this in mind it prompted us to develop the GPS Charger Adaptor which can be used by both Mobile Phone and GPS Devices.  It is designed for easy storage in your golf bag when not in use.

The size is 86cm x 80cm x 15cm or approx 3.5”x 3.1”x 0.6” and weighs just 60 grams.

Simply plugin and charge your device as you are playing

The current model is designed to be used with the ‘T’ bar battery connection system used by by Powakaddy and HillBilly.

The GPS Charger Adapter connect to the electric trolley via the adaptor and connect to the GPS device or Mobile through a USB port on the Adaptor.

Which means you will never run out of charge again!!

There is now no reason why you should run out of charge again especially when it’s needed most – on the golf course.

The GPS Charger Adaptor costs just £19.99 (plus £2.50 Shipping & Handling) and is exclusively available through the Rich Lawless Golf School so buy yours today and join the many golfers who are benefiting from the unique GPS Charger Adaptor by ordering yours today.
