Welcome to the Woodbridge Park Golf Club Seniors Section.
Woodbridge Park Seniors Section is now a well established and integral part of Woodbridge Park Golf Club, contributing to the success of the club and its aim to be the friendliest in Wiltshire.
Having in excess of 60 members we meet for roll-up competitions over 9 holes on Tuesdays (individual format) and Thursdays ( team games). We regularly have up to 40 members attending particularly in the summer months, slightly less in winter.
In addition there is a full programme of other events including seniors trophy competitions, annual pairs and singles competitions, matches against other local clubs and monthly medal and stableford competitions over 18 holes. The programme of Main Events for 2017 is listed elsewhere on the web site Senior’s Main Events For 2017
Although not part of the official seniors programme there are monthly away days arranged to other courses for those who wish to participate.
The Seniors Section has its own committee headed by the Seniors Captain and a number of other members. Handicaps are set by this committee’s Handicap Secretary based on the Tuesday roll up competition. Individual Club handicaps are often therefore slightly different.
As Seniors Captain my aim is to provide an enjoyable and stimulating environment to enable all members to get the best possible out of their golfing experience. I very much want to encourage all members to join in as much as possible but particularly competitions and matches against other clubs. No one should feel that they are not good enough to participate or to feel intimidated by having a high handicap. All competitions and matches are there to be enjoyed, so I hope to see as many as possible taking part.
